So SE finally released the text information for the new 2 hour abilities. I’m very curious about DRK’s new 2 hour ability as with me finishing up Apocalypse Blood Weapon become much less appealing, not that it was very appealing before as I don’t currently do events where it would be used.
Steals an enemy’s TP through regular attacks while the effect is active.
Now I’m hoping that it gives at least a 20 TP return on each swing Although even at 17% it would still be nice. After all being able to knock down the amount of swings needed between Weapon Skills (especially Catastrophe from Apocalypse when healer isn’t an option) is very sexy. Lets just take a look at some numbers from X hits to see how this could be useful
At say 15 TP drained after 3 hits you’d have 45 TP for “free”. Not counting the TP from the swing itself that leaves 55 TP to 100. 55 / 3 = 18.4 (rounding up) which is pretty easy to hit on DRK/SAM a little bit harder on DRK/WAR but still doable. So during the 2 hour a DRK would have a 3.5 hit build haha that would be a lot of fun.
At say 20 TP drained you’d only need 40/3 = 13.4 (rounded up) meaning that if you were swinging at 20.1 TP returned you’d have a 3 hit build for sure.
Granted a lot of this loses appeal when you’re in a zerg situation with Embrava but then again I don’t really do those events so as of now this has the potential to be very appealing to me and also my Linkshell when we’re doing things together.
I just hope it isn’t something ridiculously low like 5TP per hit… I mean I know that gives some wiggle room but it’s far less appealing.
